Introduction
We have studied many roof top tents available on the market today, both here and overseas. We looked at the various features from design, materials, strength, and suitability to the various climates and conditions found throughout Australia. At the end of our search we found the Austrack Deluxe model.
This new design of Roof top tent can be easily fitted to most vehicle roof racks or roof bars without the necessity to drill or modify. Included in the price is also a 250mm grey pvc annex height extension. This has a zip on either side and zips onto the pvc annex floor for those vehicles with lift kits/ mud terrain tyres etc who need the extra height (extends to 2300mm). This new Austrack Deluxe model has many new features and attaches to your vehicle utilizing a track and clamp system.
They are a very simple, quick and easy way to go camping, and particularly if you want to take your boat, trailer, or jet ski etc with you. Over at Fraser Island (opposite Hervey Bay) they are proving very popular due to the Dingo population, and offcourse in North Queensland and the Territory for safe camping in crocodile infested areas, and lets not forget those inquisitive Goanna's that seem to turn up at most camp sites. They are certainly worth their weight in gold if camping in areas subject to flooding.
We have supplied our roof top tents to several people on the move, where there is a necessity for quick stopovers, a night or two at a friend's or families place, a quick fishing trip, or travelling long distances without the high cost of paying for accommodation.
In around five minutes you can be set up. Your bedding, annex walls, pegs, guy ropes etc all fit under the exterior travel cover. There's nothing relating to setting up and sleeping that needs to be kept in your vehicle, allowing more storage space for other camping gear.
You can choose to have the tent folding out to the rear or either side of your vehicle. You can also mount above a box trailer, boat or Jet Ski trailer. At the back of the annex walls there is a zip open panel to enable you to open your rear or side door (depending on how the tent is fitted) to access your belongings.

Mounting
Comes complete with all mounting hardware, a set of spanners, and full comprehensive instructions (fitting advice available by calling us at Brisbane Camper Trailers. on 07 38070070).

Material
Rip stop cotton canvas, double stitched throughout with double stitched folded seams for added strength.
Wax coated canvas that is extremely waterproof with a mould and mildew treatment.
Base
Weatherproof aluminium clad folding base, 22mm thick with reinforced surround hinged in the centre. All removable parts are stainless steel or aluminium.
Tent Fly Over Cover
Removable and adjustable, made from oxford polyester, 100% waterproof, protects the canvas in a storm, and from sap, bird and possum droppings etc.
Travel Cover
Heavy duty waterproof PVC. Is UV treated complete with ykk zips. The base of the cover is fitted into aluminium sail track (annex rail) which totally protects the tent from
dust and water. Complete with tie down straps.
Mesh Windows and Doors
All windows and doors are manufactured from m3 micromesh/midgemesh (not mossie mesh) vital for bug protection in a tropical or coastal climate. The mesh windows can also be zipped open and have double zips.
Window Covers
Has zip open internal closing window covers as well as zip open external window covers. No need to go outside to close up if adverse weather. External windows have awnings for protection from the sun or rain. All windows and doors have toggle tie backs.
Annex Walls
Can be zipped on or off very quickly. Includes two windows and a door. The ‘u' shaped panel at the rear of the annex walls can be zipped open to enable you to access your vehicle through either the rear door or side door (depending whether rear or side mounted tent). Also provided is a 250mm extension piece which zips on the base of the annex walls to allow fitting to vehicles with additional height, such as Patrols or Landcruisers with lift kits or MT tyres etc. Allows maximum height from bed base to ground of 2300mm.
Annex Floor
Very heavy duty and tough PVC, same material as travel cover. Stretches rather than tears.
Mattress
62mm high density foam mattress with zip off cover for washing.
Ladder
Very strong telescopic aluminium with 40mm treads for comfort in bare feet.
Poles
All poles are aluminium. See photo.

- Four internal storage pockets for watches, wallets, torch etc.

Rear of vehicle mounting versus side of vehicle mounting?
Rear Mounting
Allows extra roof space for storage/racks,bars etc.
With the tent open you will be protected from the elements whilst accessing the vehicles rear door.
Side Mounting
Creates less drag as the narrow side of the tent is facing forward.
Allows normal operation of rear door without unzipping rear annex panel.
